Irene Rubin

It has been a long journey - however, a very long and deep automotive career has served me well - for a lady with no discernible employability skill set I am ok; Accomplished in an industry not exactly user friendly to women I am very fortunate.
I currently reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area of the country, having relocated from my beloved South Florida home in Fort Lauderdale! (miss it more than I can say) for my current job - been here 10 years! YIKES! I am a product trainer for General Motors. I have 50 Chevrolet stores in the metroplex and surrounding areas and I train salespeople on cars and trucks. Additionally GM uses the trainers to launch new vehicles and that has required a lot of travel...I will work until they put dirt on my face for certain! LOL
My marital resume is stellar -lots of experience and practice - 5 ex husbands are on that cv - Certainly not a cookie cutter life my friends.
My daughter and her husband live in Jacksonville, FL, where I like to visit during holidays; my daughter and I enjoy an especially close relationship which I treasure.

I have done a serious turn in my political beliefs, and I share with you that Atilla the Hun is left of me...and I am a CHL gun owner.

OK...so much for history - the future is bright and shining. I am blessed with stamina, health, and a highly optimistic nature - there is little that I don't find humor in, and the only things I take seriously are my work and other's feelings. Other than that....it is all just a big giggle!
So glad to see you all here - it did warm my heart and bring back some fun memories!
UPDATE: 4/29/2016 Have relocated back to Florida!!! Now a resident of Ormond Beach - a little burg right outside of Daytona and about an hour out of Orlando - East coast near the water...lovely! So good to be back!

November 30, 2017 - tomorrow heading to Dallas to meet with a former business colleague who has asked me to join the organization. I will spend the week and explore the opportunity. This year has been really challenging...however, the good news is that I am about 95% back to rock and roll...other than having a huge challenge to remove the additional size of my body! here is to a great new year!

UPDATE: Back to Texas in April, 2018! Missed it so much! Still in automotive industry - so fortunate to have energy, drive, and ambition still intact! I am amazed at myself frankly! LOL

UPDATE: NOVEMBER, 2023: Now in St. Augustine, FL. great fun retirement job... brand ambassador for beer, wine, and spirits...never knew liquor was so interesting! Happiest of holidays to all!!
