School Story:

I'll aways remember the first freshman canteen when a Senior asked me to dance!
The first football ball I attended wow what a riot-literally!
The feeling of freedom when I got my drivers license & was able to use my boyfriend's car to drive to school.
Coach Bruno's History Class (last class on a Friday) & my boyfriend Art waiting in the hallway and nine times out of ten times Coach Bruno yelling at him to wait outside the school.
The very best thing about school was the friends I made & have kept all these years. That is what made APHS so special to me.

I was so saddened to hear about George's passing. He lived a half a block from me in Wanamassa & I have such wonderful memories of our high school years together. One of the highlight for me was he taught me to drive (yes I drove my Dad crazy)so he asked George & of course George said yes. Well when George got done teaching me how to drive I was able to drive a stick shift (still do) pop the clutch & well you get the pciture I am sure!!! He must have done a great job I have never gotten a ticket or caused an accident.

Many times after school we would go to the newly opened Burger Chef in Oakhurst & everyone would gather around his car. My girlfriend RuthAnn Remley (Sorensen now) would sit in the open back seat of his car We also went to football games sitting out in the open air & waving to everyone.

George was always upbeat & smiling a very very nice guy & I want to extend my sympathies to his family & to his dear friend Dominic Vacarro. He will be missed by many.....

so how is one of my first boyfriends in High School doing? I remember a football fight & you coming to my house & my Dad putting a piece of cold red meat on your black eye. Do you remember that? Do tell how you wound up in Texas. That is where Lucie (Lucille Vaccaro) Bailey has been living.

Judy was my friend, my neighbor & my "go to person" in High School when I had a problem. She overcame so many obstacles in her life but they never took that smile & upbeat personality away from her. Such sad sad news.R.I.P. dear Judy.
